PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Spray Texture Mix is a ready to use, co-polymer modified resurfacing compound especially formulated to bond to almost any porous concrete surface. Due to it’s high strength and easy workability, Spray Texture Mix is perfect to repair rain damaged slabs, scaling or dusting concrete, low spots, chipped or damaged steps, curbs as well as facing foundations. Spray Texture Mix can be applied from a feather edge up to 1/2 ” thick. Spray Texture Mix can be broom, sprayed or trowel finished.
SURFACE PREPARATION The concrete surface must be clean and free of all loose material, oil residue and have no sealers or paints. Clean thoroughly by using a pressure washer with a degreaser or stripper if necessary. Etch the surface using Lunacrete® Super Green or 1 part Muriatic acid to 4 parts water. Neutralize with an ammonia or baking soda and water solution, rinse thoroughly and allow to dry.
MIXING INSTRUCTIONS In a clean 5 gallon pail measure 1 1/3 gallons of clean water (and add color pack at this time). Using a drill with a mixing wand, slowly add the dry Spray Texture Mix to the water as you are running the mixing wand. Once you have added all the material, continue to mix thoroughly for 2 minutes to a plastic consistency with no lumps. Smaller portions: use enough water to mix to a plastic consistency.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS Patch & leveling: Start by misting the surface with water, (surface should be damp only, no standing water) and then apply the Flat Patch compound. Screed where necessary, smooth with a round edged fresno or pool trowel, keeping all tools clean and moist, and finish as desired. If the area to be patched is thicker than 1”, two or more applications may be necessary. Wait until the first application is dry, (1-3 hours) and then reapply. Base Coat: Using a steel trowel or a squeegee apply an even coat of the desired color Spray Texture Mix about 1/16th of an inch thick. Allow to dry before continuing. Spray Coat: Using a hopper gun and an air compressor set at around 20 lbs shoot the top coat of Spray Texture Mix material. Before the material sets all the way, pass a pool trowel across the surface creating flats as you go along. Finishing: After the surface is completely dry, lightly scrape the deck with a flat floor scraper. Blow off any debris and seal. Roll or spray 2-3 coats of LunaCrete’s Klear Koat. Allow 24 hrs for foot traffic or 48 hrs for auto traffic.
COVERAGE 45 Lb. unit covers 100 to 150 Sq Ft.
